The Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the national professional organization dedicated exclusively to advancing and promoting health care development, produces the Report on Giving FY 2005.
This report is the result of the FY 2005 Survey of Giving that AHP members complete. The purpose of the report is to indicate national giving trends over time and provide a “snapshot” of giving at various types of organizations. AHP members then can use this information as a basis for comparing their programs to those at similar institutions.
The AHP suggests couple key measures for evaluating a health care foundation. The following demonstrates how Theda Clark Medical Center measures up to the national median averages on asset bae and on dollars raised per dollars spent.
Criteria 1. Total Asset Base
Through 2005, the Theda Clark Medical Center Foundation’s total asset base was $26.6 million. This compares to the national median average at $3.58 million.
Criteria 2. Return on Dollars Spent
Through 2005, the Theda Clark Medical Center Foundation raised $5.43 for every $1.00 spent. This compares to the national median average of $3.58 for every dollar spent.
TC Foundation Statistics are based off of audit performed by Deloitte and Touche LLP. National statistics taken from the FY 2005 Survey of giving.
