February 2, 2008 – Riverview Country Club
The 2008 Rubies & Roses Gala raised over $25,800 for the Helping Hearts Fund at Appleton Medical Center. This Fund benefits people who cannot otherwise afford to pay for cardiac rehabilitation services following heart surgery or other heart-related procedures. Dr. G. David Beiser of Appleton Cardiology Associates was the emcee for the February 2nd gala at Riverview Country Club. The Appleton Medical Center Foundation and 15 other generous sponsors made the evening possible. Generously donated by Avenue Jewelers and Joyce and Otto Bytof, raffle items included three pieces of ruby jewelry and a .75 carat diamond pendant. Following cocktails and dinner, guests enjoyed entertainment by Little Vito and the Torpedoes.
