AMC Foundation Health Care Forum—Dr. Nathan Munson
On June 19th, the Appleton Medical Center Foundation sponsored the first health care forum for the year. Approximately 45 guests had the privilege of listening and learning more about the latest medical trends and technologies in cancer diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Nathan Munson, a radiation oncologist with Radiology Associates of Appleton, discussed Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation. Dr. Munson explained to the audience how cancer treatments have evolved over the years, and how current methods are more patient-friendly.
TCMC Foundation Health Care Forum –Dr. Todd Peebles
Theda Clark Medical Center Foundation sponsored the 2nd in a series of Foundation Health Care Forums on July 15th. Dr. Todd Peebles, a radiologist with Radiology Associates of the Fox Valley, discussed stroke care through the use of the new biplane imaging system and angiography suite.
TCMC Foundation Health Care Forum –Dr. Raymond Georgen
On August 7, Dr. Ray Georgen spoke at the Theda Clark Medical Center Foundation Health Care Forum. He reviewed current trends and technologies concerning bariatric surgery options that are available in the Fox Valley, and discussed their subsequent outcomes. Dr. Georgen is co-director of Midwest Bariatric Solutions, with over 15 years of surgical experience, and also serves as the head trauma surgeon at Theda Clark Medical Center and is an invaluable leader of our P.A.R.T.Y. at the PAC program.
AMC Foundation Health Care Forum –Kathryn Correia
On August 21, the Appleton Medical Center Foundation sponsored the final health care forum of the summer. Kathryn Correia, president of both Appleton Medical Center and Theda Clark Medical Center, presented ThedaCare’s views on the Hospital of the Future and discussed the ways in which this transformation will take place at both hospitals.
