Dianne Bergstrom, RN – Nursing Scholarship
In December 2009, John F. Bergstrom established an endowment in honor of his wife, Dianne, to start a nursing scholarship program. Dianne began volunteering at Theda Clark Medical Center as a candy striper when she was 15 years old. She continued working at the Hospital during high school & college and went on to become a registered nurse at Theda Clark for 25 years.
A $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to one student from the Fox River Valley area who is pursuing a degree to become a registered nurse. The recipient must be entering or continuing education at a university, college, or technical school that has a recognized and fully accredited professional nursing program in the fall of 2010. Applicants must also be a resident of Calumet, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Outagamie, Waupaca, Waushara, or Winnebago counties.
